General Information:- 

1. Upper age limit is relaxable for Govt. servants up to 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Govt. of India.

2. Relaxation of upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-serviceman/Handicapped/disabled candidates will also be allowed as per Govt. Rules, where reservations of posts are meant for these categories only.

3. Reservation for ST/SC/OBC and Physically handicapped will be as per Govt. of India norms.


4. Persons working under Central/State Government/Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous organization should submit their applications through proper channel. They may, however, send an advance copy of the application along with enclosures which should reach before the prescribed last date.

5. Candidates applying against post reserved for OBC category must submit a valid (up-to-date) “Non Creamy Layer” certificate from the appropriate authority.

6. The decision of the Institute as to eligibility or otherwise of a candidate will be final.

7. The applicants, who do not have requisite qualifications up to the last date for submission of applications, will not be considered.

8. Canvassing of any kind will be a disqualification.


9. In case response to the post is large in number, screening will be restricted to those with higher percentage of marks.

10. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

11. Mere fulfilling the minimum educational qualification and experience doesn’t bestow right to a candidate to be called for interview.

12. Institute reserves the right to reject or accept any candidature without assigning any reason thereof.

13. Due to dearth of quarters, the institute is not in a position to provide quarters to selected candidates. If quarters are not provided the officer will be entitled to House Rent Allowances (HRA) as per prescribed rules.

14. The number of vacancies indicated against each category of posts is provisional and may increase or decrease depending on the actual needs of the Institute.

15. The Institute will not be responsible for non-receipt/late receipt of any communication send by the candidates due to postal delay/lost in transit.

Age Limit -         Maximum 30 years as on the last date of receipt of online application.


Pay Scale -       Rs.- 44,900/- in Level 7 of the Pay matrix +DA. (In addition House Rent Allowance and Transport Allowance are also admissible at prescribed rates depending upon the place of posting)


Qualifications - 

i) XII Standard and Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery (3 years Course) + Valid Registration as Nurse from Central / State Nursing Council in India.

ii) B.Sc. (Nursing) or

 iii) Nursing ‘A’ Certificate with 3 years experience in Hospital or Nursing Assistant Class III & above from Armed Forces

Note -  Candidates possessing Degree in Nursing may also be considered for recruitment for the above posts. Such candidates may be considered for awarding 2 Additional Increments (Non Absorbable) at the time of recruitment.



Application Mode -       ONLINE 


Mode of Selection - Selection process will be similar to the mode of selection of Stipendiary Trainee Category – II consisting of viz; Stage-1 Preliminary Test, Stage-2 Advanced Test and Stage-3 Skill Test. The Stage 1 & 2 Written Test will be conducted on the same day. The answer sheet of the Stage 2 Test will be evaluated only of those candidates who qualify in the Stage 1 written test. There will be negative marking for the written tests.

How to Apply -    

 1. Applications will be accepted ONLINE only. Candidates must apply ONLINE through the website www.hwb.gov.in OR hwb.mahaonline.gov.in. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted.

2. Facility for ONLINE submission of application will be available from 26.05.2018, 09:15 Hrs. to 25.06.2018, 24:00 Hrs.

3. Application Fee ` 100/-. Fee is exempted for candidates belonging to SC/ST category, PWD candidates, Ex-servicemen and Women candidates. Fee once paid shall be non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be held in reserve for any other examination under any circumstances.

4. Candidates are required to have a valid Email ID and Mobile Number. It should be kept active during the currency of this recruitment. HWB will send intimation / call letters for Stage 1 & 2 Tests, Written Examination / Skill Test / Level 1 & 2 Test / Interview (as applicable) etc., only through the registered Mobile / Email I.D.


5. Candidates shortlisted for Written Examination / Skill Test / Level 1 & 2 Test / Interview (wherever applicable) on the basis of the information provided in the ONLINE applications submitted by them will be required to send attested copies of documents / relevant certificates in support of the claims made in the application as and when demanded by Heavy Water Board.


6. Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately for each post.

7. Candidates are advised to submit the ONLINE application well in advance without waiting for the Closing date.
